![]() I've been trying to just brand as many orcs as possible now instead of murdering them all. I decided I couldn't kill that bastard though, since he is obviously going to be real handy in a fight later. I fought the same g'damn Orc for like 5-10 minutes while simultaneously murdering dozens and dozens and dozens of other randos. He apparently has some combination of "gets enraged at defeat" (so becomes tougher when he has low health) and also regenerating health. I didn't find out what his actual properties were because I was too busy being completely unable to kill him. I was skating through when some captain I hadn't encountered yet showed up, and apparently he's the toughest SOB I've come across. I took one of the sword legend missions on the other area, in the stronghold, and the mission was to kill 3 specific elite guards, with a bonus mission of kill 25 total orcs. So now I have a 100% chance to recover full health when my hit streak reaches 30.Īlso, the upgrade that means critical strikes count as 3 for the multiplier. So, in terms of the game, I still have to kill the slaver dude, and I managed to get mobbed and get killed by my first Orc Captain.ĭiscovered that apparently multiple copies of the same rune stack. I remember, back when Myth: the Fallen Lords by Bungie came out in '97, it being a bit of a scandal that the game would take up 500 MB. Also crazy: how much space it takes up on the HDD. Mine hardly sounded like it was working at all, except for a few seconds after I'd first insert each disc. It's always jarring considering I think I use it 3-4 times a year BTW, one small advantage to getting the disc version (until they sell out of this launch lot, I suppose) is that you get the pre-order bonus skin, the Orc Slayer rune, and the special challenge mode "Test of Power." Who knows whether it's any good, but there it is.Įvery time I have to use my DVD drive for something it's incredibly loud. How do I force the game to install from the DVDs? Steam says it's "unpacking" but the DVD drive sure is quiet.ĮDIT: Confirmed that it's installing from the discs. Aaargh, no, I just realized it's downloading everything. I hope my DVD burner doesn't die from the shock of being used for the first time in months. I'm now actually installing from the DVDs (5 of them!). Luckily mine is a safe neighborhood and it was still there when I got back. UPS finally delivered this tonight, when I was out, and left it on my porch in plain sight (would it have killed the person to put it behind my storm door?). ![]() Tried three times, couldn't get the guy I have to grab for twenty seconds alone to summon him. Decided to go after one of the War-chiefs - specifically the guy with no bodyguards. I've only got 4 captains left on the board - all but one of them a bodyguard. basically gives me the ability (33 percent of the time) to do what I can get the ability to do later - explode heads with Wraith drain and Wraith flash. One of them can be killed by an arrow to the face, and I had full focus so I put some distance between me and them and put on in his face, and decided it was now time to take the better part of valor. I manage to kill the other two captains (getting my numbers up to 3 for the current murder) when two *MORE* captains show up. And not worth my time to try to kill as I bounce between a bunch of other orcs, the three captains and him. ![]() He has a terrible fright of Graugs so that will break his imunity - but for the moment he's pretty much the tank. Suddenly two more Captains charge up, one of them probably the toughest orc on my board to kill, he has a poison attack, and is immune to. Kill the Vengeance in time for the bonus and go after Walk in. As I engage him, another Captain shows up. Then go to vengeance kill some Ork that killed Danthemaninjapan. Lets whittle them down! Go about grabbing intel from Worms so I know what all the new guys are up to with weaknesses and start murdering a few. I got a little overly cocky a couple of times and got myself killed by the environment (Graug, Carador) Which refreshed quite a few of my whittled down Captains.
